FAQs
I'm absent, what do I do?
Can I turn in assignments late?
Can I retake quizzes and tests?
- I completely understand that we may not make it to every day that we have school, HOWEVER, if you are absent there a few things that you can do. You can go into google classroom to see what we did that day and work on it at home or whenever you return to school you will need to go to the ABSENT section of the room and get your missed work from the crate. Work will be in the folder labeled with the date of the missed school day. For example, if the student misses October 13, the work from that day will be found under tab 13. If the student is still unsure, they can ask a classmate or Ms. Lopez after class for clarification and specific questions.
- Extra handouts can be found on your class page of this website. Scroll to the current unit and print out what you need or complete the assignment on a separate sheet of paper. If the handout you are searching for is not posted, please send me Ms. Leary a text through Remind, or send an email.
Can I turn in assignments late?
- All missing (late) and work will be due two weeks after interim reports are distributed. Assignments will not be accepted after that period of time. Any late assignments turned within that period of time will receive up to 80% credit.
Can I retake quizzes and tests?
- Students will be allowed to make corrections on quizzes and tests for half credit back. Once corrections have been made and submitted, the new grade will have a "0.1" added to the end as an indicator (in the gradebook).
- Students receiving a grade less than "70" on assessments are required to make corrections. Students receiving "70" or above are not required to make corrections, but it is strongly encouraged. Corrections must be completed on a separate sheet of paper and stapled to the original test/quiz. Students should not erase original answers and work shown.
